How Can I Add ParaChat To My Yahoo! Group?

Problem:

I have a Yahoo! Group. How can I add ParaChat to it?

Solution:

1. Log into your Yahoo! Group as the Manager, and click "Links" in the left navigation area.

2. Click "Add Link". For "Title", input "ParaChat Room". For Description, input "Chat with other members". The URL to input depends upon which ParaChat service you have selected:

A. For free ParaChat Basic rooms

Use the "Option 4: Standard Link (URL)" option to generate a text link to your ParaChat room:
http://www.parachat.com/basic/get-yours.html

Copy the link, and add it as the URL. Click the "Add Link" button.

B. For ParaChat Advanced or Professional rooms (order now)

- Create an HTML file on your computer's desktop that contains your ParaChat code, and save it as "chat.html" (please refer to your Order Confirmation email for your code). Please contact our Support Team if you require help with this step.

- Click the "Files" link in your Yahoo! Group's left navigation area.

- Select "Add File". Click the "Browse" button next to the "File Name" field, and add the "chat.html" file from your computer's Desktop. Click the "Upload File" button. The "chat.html" file is added to your Yahoo! Group's Files. Any member may click Files in the left navigation area, and click the "chat.html" link in the Files list to access the ParaChat room.

- You may also create a link under your Yahoo! Group's "Links" by right-clicking on the "chat.html" document link in your Files, and selecting Copy Shortcut from the right-click menu. Click "Links" in the left navigation area, and click "Add Link". For "Title", input "ParaChat Room". For Description, input "Chat with other members". For URL, right-click in the URL field, and choose Paste from the right-click menu. The link to your "chat.html" file that you copied earlier, which appears as a very long URL ending with "/chat.html", will be pasted into the URL field. Click the "Add Link" button.
