Yes. ParaChat software currently supports from Java 1.1 to Java 1.6, and is committed to continuing to automatically support your web site visitors whose web browsers run older versions of Java at least through our ParaChat v7.x release.

This is vastly important because nearly 30% of users still run Java 1.1 to 1.3 on their computers. Would you want to prevent nearly 30% of your potential chat visitors from accessing your chat room by choosing chat software that does not support them? Simply requiring your users to update their Java version is not sufficient, since many users will access your chat room from workstations or Internet cafes where they do not possess administrative privileges to install software such as Java on the computers that they use.
