Error CN723 Cannot start private chat. Low memory or no connection

Why do I see "Error CN723 Cannot start private chat. Low memory or no connection" in my private chat window?

Solution 1:

Error CN723 is a low memory or no connection error. The issue is that the chat applet either cannot create a new private chat window because of low memory resources on your computer, or that you have lost Internet connectivity so that the private chat window cannot launch. Wait a moment, then try to open a private chat window again once you have checked to make sure that your connection to the chat server is still active. If the error continues to occur, you may wish to close some open windows on your computer to free up some of your computer's resources.

Solution 2:

Your firewall may be configured to disallow the download of files with a .class extension.  As such, when the chat client requests the private chat-related .class files from the chat server that are not contained in the initial papplet.jar file download, Error CN723 occurs.  The remedy is to configure your firewall to permit the download of files with a .class extension.
