Error RM857. group does not exist (ParaChat v5.7/v6.x)

Why do I get an "Error RM857. group does not exist" message in my chat window?

Solution:

An "Error RM857. group does not exist" error will occur when an invalid Group name appears with in the ParaChat applet's "roam.Group" parameter:

<param name="roam.Group" value="aXXXXXX">

Group names are assigned by ParaChat and issued automatically with your ParaChat Advanced, Professional, Enterprise and Event applet HTML. Please refer to your Order Confirmation email for the correct value for this parameter.
