*** ERROR *** An error occurred. Installation will not continue. (Windows)

Problem:

When I try to install ParaChat Server on my Windows server, I see "*** ERROR *** An error occurred. Installation will not continue. Copy the error message and see ParaChat.com online documents."

Solution:

First, please be certain that your host server upon which you are installing ParaChat Server has Java (JRE) installed. You may download the latest version of Java for free by visiting:
http://www.java.com

Install Java in the default location that is prompted. Once Java is installed (or if Java is already installed), please open the "ParaChat570" folder within your computer's "Programs" folder. Within the "ParaChat570" folder, you will find a small file called "install.bat". Double-click that file to complete the install process. After that you might have to also run the "install_nt.bat" file as well. You only need to run the install_nt.bat file if the ParaChat service has not been installed.
