Yes, and firewall support is included with ParaChat Standard at no additional cost to you. ParaChat software automatically tries to connect the chat client (chat room) to the chat server using two different connection protocols. The fastest and most efficient protocol is TCP/IP, which is set as the primary connection protocol. However, some firewalls will automatically block TCP/IP connections over non-standard ports. If a firewall has blocked the initial TCP/IP connection attempt, the ParaChat room will automatically attempt a connection to the chat server using HTTP protocol over port 80. Port 80 is a standard HTTP port used by most web sites, and as such, makes ParaChat virtually firewall-proof.
